August was all about engagement! With the Legislature on summer recess, I had the chance to spend more time in the district. Meeting so many of you face-to-face reminded me just how blessed I am to serve you and carry your ideas, voices, and stories to the Capitol. Legislative Updates
I joined my colleagues in taking historic action relating to California's congressional district maps.
- ACA 8 (Rivas) -- Places a temporary Congressional map before voters in response to partisan gerrymandering in other states.
- AB 604 (Aguiar-Curry) -- Outlines the new proposed Congressional map that voters will decide on.
- SB 280 (Cervantes, Pellerin) -- Calls the November Special Election, appropriates funding, and updates election calendars.
