Villapudua Receives Appointment to Guide California’s Economic Policy

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua (D- Stockton) has been appointed this week to serve on the Commission for Economic Development.

“It is an honor to receive this appointment from Speaker Anthony Rendon to serve the economic interests of Californians at their regional levels,” said Villapudua. “Our diverse state requires a unique approach to meet the needs of every individual. I am proud to be able to provide representation for the Central Valley on this Commission to discuss, learn, and advocate for best economic measures for the state of California moving ahead.”

The Commission for Economic Development provides bipartisan collaboration between state officials and the private sector to support and guide for best possible overall economic development of the state. This includes assessing specific regional issues, discussing possible solutions, and conducting specialized studies to best analyze results. The Commission serves as important guidance for Legislators as they evaluate future options for best economic policy.
