Please join us for our She Dreams, so She Can Young Women Empowerment Forum partnered with the San Joaquin County Office of Education. Hear from three different influences from our community regarding important opportunities in higher education for high school and college students, and how to successfully pursue a fulfilling career path.

Our three presenters will discuss their own career stories and trajectories, and opportunities for you to take advantage of:

  • Nicole Parra, former State Assemblymember
  • Gloria Nevarez, Commissioner at West Coast Conference
  • Jessica Rocha, Legislative Assistant for Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua 

Assemblymember Villapudua will also be sharing legislation impacting the field of education along with the funds he has prioritized for Cal Grant.

My office is excited to be hosting our first Holiday Open House to meet with members of the community and discuss important issues impacting San Joaquin County. Come join for this conversation and enjoy food and drinks provided by my office.

Virtual Health Town Hall

Join me for a town hall livestream with Dr. Manshadi to hear about how and why you should get the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as general health information related to your heart.

This town hall will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the vaccine and clarify any misinformation. We’ll also be covering information about heart health, and ending with a live Q&A. In the meantime, I encourage you to visit the state’s COVID-19 vaccination webpage for up-to-date information, and sign up on My Turn to be notified when you are eligible to be vaccinated!
