We’ll also walk through the proposals now before us: ACA 8, which would allow California to use temporary congressional districts until new maps are drawn in 2031; AB 604, which spells out those temporary districts if ACA 8 is approved; and SB 280, which schedules a statewide vote in November 2025 and sets election rules for 2026.
