About Assemblymember Ransom
Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom is a dedicated mom, wife, and public servant with over two decades of experience serving Tracy and San Joaquin County. Her journey in leadership includes co-founding a nonprofit in Tracy, Planning Commissioner, City Councilmember, and Congressional District Director. She’s delivered real results, including securing funding for Tracy’s first permanent homeless shelter and helping thousands of young people find a path to success.
Raised by her grandmother, a missionary, Asm. Rhodesia Ransom learned early that leadership means serving the community. She earned a Bachelor's in Political Science from San Francisco State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.
Before her elected office, Asm. Rhodesia Ransom built a strong record in business management and taught graduate-level public policy courses. Asm. Ransom is committed to creating safer, stronger communities and fostering economic growth. Her experience and deep ties to her community make her a tireless advocate for the residents of District 13.
