Latino Caucus Foundation Announces 2023 Statewide Scholarship Program

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua (D-Stockton) is pleased to share that the California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) has begun accepting online applications for a scholarship opportunity. One student from each represented Assembly District will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship to go towards their higher education expenses.

“The California Latino Caucus Foundation has been able to assist students pursuing their higher education goals through this scholarship program for nine years now,” said Assemblymember Villapudua. “It’s an exciting opportunity when we can help fuel the high ambitions and aspirations of our future leaders through direct support like this.”

Assemblymember Villapudua invites eligible students to submit an online application for the CLLCF Scholarship Program to help meet qualified educational expenses. Parameters and the application can be found at cllcf.org/scholarship-program.

In order to qualify for scholarship consideration, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a full-time student in good academic standing at an accredit college or university, OR
  • Be a graduating high school senior with written proof of accepted admittance at an accredited institution or higher learning.
  • Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5.

Following the submission deadline of June 1, 2023, applications will be reviewed and scholarship winners will be announced on June 30.
