Stockton, CA – Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom is proud to announce that Visionary Home Builders of California, Inc. has been awarded $5 million from the State of California through the Joe Serna, Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant (FWHG) Program to support the “Casa de Mariposa" project in Stockton. This investment will help provide affordable housing opportunities for agricultural workers and their families in San Joaquin County.
The Casa de Mariposa project will create 56 new affordable homes dedicated to serving lower-income farmworker households. Funding is made available through the Farmworker Housing Grant Program (FWHG) program, which provides financial assistance to support construction and rehabilitation of housing for California’s agricultural workforce.
“San Joaquin County families are being priced out of their own community, and that’s why prioritizing building affordable homes through the Joe Serna, Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant, a state funded program, is so critical. Thank you to Visionary Home Builders for creating stability, health, and opportunity for the families who keep our community strong.”
