The Delta Conveyance Project is a proposed underground tunnel that would divert water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to other parts of the state. I partnered with Restore the Delta to officially audit the Department of Water Resources and this costly, controversial project. It threatens our farmland, strains local communities, and lacks transparency. With over $700 million already spent and an unclear price tag that could exceed $20 billion, continuing without accountability is unacceptable– especially during a budget crisis. Our families, farmers, and tribes deserve answers.
